How to book the cottage

From 2004 when the restoration of the cottage was completed until September 2007 the cottage was let out through Suffolk Secrets, who did an excellent job. However, I am now taking bookings directly myself. Everything else has remained the same except that the prices are a little lower than they would otherwise have been.

For details of weeks that are free and prices, see the availability calendar, which is usually updated every week. To make a provisional reservation contact me either by telephone - 01865 558596 - or by email -richardwebster@ntlworld.com - to check that your preferred dates are still free.

I will then send you (either by email or by post) an invoice for the deposit, which is 20% of the cost of the holiday and should be paid in the next seven days. I will also send a booking form and the Terms and Conditions (which can be read here.)

For every booking taken a donation of £2.50 will be made to the Westleton Common Group, which was set up to help maintain the common to which Middle Cottage's garden gate leads.

When your deposit is received the booking will be confirmed and you will be sent an invoice for the balance, which falls due for payment eight weeks before the start date. If you book a holiday less than eight weeks before it starts the full amount will be due immediately.

Any deposit paid is non-returnable. In the event of cancellations after the balance has been paid I will make every effort to re-let the cottage and if successful will return the 80% balance to you in full. But please consider taking out normal holiday insurance to cover against any failure to re-let.

The cottage is let for whole weeks (seven nights) from 4pm on Saturday to 10am on the Saturday of departure. For Christmas and New Year the start day may be adjusted a little - see the availability page.
